Wrap Up Me | The Lemon Collections

The Lemon Collections

I have a few essential winter items that keep me feeling warm and stylish.

Typically I find myself needing to choose between style, comfort, and function for my clothes – but this wool poncho checks all my requirements.

I’m obsessed with their whole poncho collection! You have probably seen me wearing the brushed wool poncho in my Instagram stories, the girls love cuddling when I wear it.

Pair it with festive wine coloured jeans or go for a monotoned look with black denim. The multi-toned greys in the poncho are versatile to your style.

I’ll pack this stunning, knit poncho in my Christmas Eve weekender bag and pair it with: a long, gold necklace; a classic, long sleeve blouse; a sleek (and stretchy, for the Christmas dinner) pant.

The best part? I’ve partnered with The Lemon Collections to giveaway a Surprise Winter Wonderland package! To enter:

Celebrating With The Whole Family | Christmas At The Keg

Disclosure: I have partnered with YMC and The Keg and have received compensation for this post. All opinions in the post are my own.

christmas at the keg edmonton family dinner

When you have kids the days feel long (especially long with the limited winter daylight), but the years go by quickly.

This year we have so much to celebrate! Matt’s last year of school, a new baby, our health, and looking forward to a new year full of change.

To celebrate the Christmas season we took our daughters with us to The Keg. They were so excited to go to a new restaurant, they chose their own clothes and wanted their hair done.

Dining Tip: I highly recommend a booth if you are outnumbered by your children, it’s easier to divide and conquer when there is a parent at each end of the booth.

Our girls knew right away what they wanted to order, the delicious Keg Mini Burgers which came with their own little appetizers of vegetables and fruit. I really liked they had appetizers because it gave Matt and myself time to relax and look through our own menus. Then their meals came with their choice of ice cream with chocolate or caramel sauce, it was the perfect motivator to eat all their food.

Matt and I started with the Tuna Tacos, with seared rare Ahi – they were so fresh. Then we both ordered our favourite steak: the Peppercorn New York. It is deliciously spicy, and mouth-watering!

We ended the dinner perfectly with sharing the girls’ first cherry cheesecake. They were hesitant at first at the word “cheesecake” but they could not get enough of it once they took a bite. Matt and I had to fend for ourselves to get a taste of our dessert.

I cannot wait to come back with friends and family no matter what their dietary needs, The Keg offers gluten-free and allergy-aware menus! Plus throughout the holiday season The Keg has extended their hours, so if you want to start earlier or later you can at The Keg.

I always look forward to receiving a Keg gift card from my dad, it’s his go-to present for Matt & I. We treat ourselves to a date night, or treat another couple to a double date, or treat our girls to a fancy dinner as a family.

If you’re looking for gift ideas, celebrate Christmas at The Keg by giving a gift card!

Gifts For Him | Lattes, Sports, Fitness & Jord Wood Watches’ Timeless Style

Is it just mine or does your man also not know exactly what he wants when the big question is popped:

What do you want for Christmas?

In my experience Matt wants gifts that stem off of his current interests – whether that’s hunting gear, novels, Star Wars, basketball, or board games.

Here are a couple gift ideas that men would love this Christmas based on these interests:

Coffee (Specifically Lattes)| Not only will he enjoy the perfect latte or cappucino with the Versimo Milk Frother, but you will too! What’s his is yours, right? This sleek, wireless milk frother warms and frothes your milk. Get ready to cheers your morning lattes with each other because this gift is a win-win!

Sports | Buying a sports jersey requires you to ask a couple questions before you order, there’s nothing worse than getting a jersey with his team or favourite player wrong… especially when he talks about them all the time. I can’t blaim you! Sometimes we tune out when they talk about sports we’re not interested in. Or is that just me?

Fitness | Water is essential to working out – whether he likes running, circuit training, weight lifting, yoga, boxing, soccer, basketball. You name any activity, he needs a water bottle! These awesome water bottles come in 2 styles and so many fun colours, Matt loves his green one. And the Lamose business is local to Alberta, what’s better than supporting local businesses?

Style | Are you looking for a special gift to breathe timeless class into his style (not that he doesn’t already have it…)? You need to browse the stunning collection of customized watches. They are the ideal present if you’re searching for a gift to add your own personal touch to his style.

This watch is the: Conway Series Dark Sandalwood & Burgundy.

The best part? I’ve partnered with Jord Wood Watches to giveaway a $100 giftcard to 1 lucky winner! And everyone who enters will receive a 25% off coupon! The giveaway ends December 15, 2017.
