Girl’s Road Trip To Calgary Recap | Travel Calgary, Alberta

Calgary, Alberta Tourism

I love travelling to near and far away places! Even with Calgary, Alberta being a 4 hour drive away it supplies a completely different atmosphere to Edmonton.

This past girl’s road trip to Calgary we took down the 2017 Ford F-150 Ranch King and the truck made the drive feel like we were flying down the highway. I especially loved the double sunroof and massage seats, and dare I mention the park assist… it truly does work!

I was hesitant on using it with such a large vehicle but as long as the parking space is long enough the truck does the parking for you, which is a blessing for me because parallel parking is not my forte!

During our stay at Hotel Elan in Calgary we had access to the most delicious restaurants downtown. The first night, we ate nachos and had Poodles (like Bulldogs, but a margarita with a mini bottle of CHAMPAGNE) at Blanco Cantina

The next night, we dined at Goro+Gun on 7th Avenue. Never have I ever had such delicious dynamite rolls – the food was a whole other level on both quality and quantity. You receive a large portion for the price, and I’m not complaining about taking half the portion home for a midnight snack.

Our final destination for food was 1410 Bier Haus for brunch after we grabbed a quick latte at Al Forno – we wanted to test out Calgary’s pub brunches. The menu was full of hearty breakfast items and we all chose different dishes. I chose the Breakfast Bowl, and the crispy potatoes and poached eggs hit the spot that morning. And their mimosa – pineapple or orange – were exactly what we needed to complete our bff brunch.

And I will never stop going to Rosso Coffee Roasters when I visit Calgary – their sweet lattes are officially my favourite. And their new Tuxedo location is so sleek, you have to check see it for yourself.

I can’t wait until our next girl’s trip and the adventures we’ll have then!
