braids

Braids are my jam for two reasons: they’re on trend and they keep your hair out of your face. How did I complete this side dutch braid look?

Step One | Put in hair extensions, if you desire a thicker and longer braid.

Step Two | Part your hair and curl the ends. I like to hold the curl together for 10 seconds after my hair curls on my Nu.me 25cm wand so it holds it’s form longer throughout the day.

Step Three | The dry winter air makes my hair super frizzy so I apply a bit of defrizzing product to my ends.

Step Four | Smooth one side of your hair over the other shoulder so all your hair is on one side. Then take the beginning hair strands of your dutch braid and tease them for extra volume on top.

Step Five | If you have never done a dutch braid, you can find further instructions here. After you’ve braided your hair all the way down, secure it with an elastic, then wrap a strand of hair around the elastic and pin it into the braid with a bobby pin.

Step Six | Then give your hair a healthy dose of hairspray! Good old hairspray…
