Family Travel Tips: Everything You Need To Know For Family Time Activities In Gilbert, Arizona

Travelling with kids is awesome in Gilbert, Arizona and the surrounding area! Especially if you fly into the Mesa Airport, it’s a quick drive from the smaller airport to the Gilbert neighbour hood. There are so many family time activities to do in Gilbert, and we have tested them over the years with our 4 kids.

From toddler activities, to preschool activities and school aged kid activities! There is something for all ages that the whole family can enjoy while in Gilbert.

When we first visited Gilbert, Arizona with our first kid, she was one years old at the time, and we liked to take her to the local parks in the community. Then over the years we ventured a little more and more out into the neighbourhoods, and have grown to love Gilbert, Mesa, Queens Creek, and Phoenix so much more!

Here are our favourite family time activities in and around Gilbert, AZ:

Gilbert Regional Park – Playground And Splash Park

This awesome development is the start of an outdoor recreational park! The Gilbert Regional Park is will be complete with sports courts and fields, playground, splash park, and bathrooms. The playground is currently open, accessible, and there are different phases for different ages. Perfect for the whole family!

Agritopia – The Coffee Shop

A fun outdoor space to walk around with a icy typhoon drink from their coffee shop! We make sure we visit Agritopia every time we are in Gilbert – it‘s a relaxing family outing in the fresh air.

San Tan Mountain Regional Park

Taking your young kids for hikes may seem impossible, but the San Tan Mountain Regional Park has some beginner “hikes” that feel more like natural walks through the desert. It’s great for learning about cactuses, desert wildlife, and learning proper hiking etiquette.

    I love all 4 options they are so beautiful and a unique fun shape! I would pick Margarita it has such vibrant summery colours.
